BMI Body Mass Index
Body Mass Index
You can find charts all over the web that puts you in a category of heath status ranging from to thin to extremely obese. I would like to know what percentage of people actually hit the fit range. Its seems kind of unrealistic to me , everyone is a different build and proportion. I also am curious as to the percentage of people that fall into the ideal range that have health problems such as cardiovascular, or nervous system issues . I have know clue if there is a connection I'm sure that people that are obese suffer health problems that's obvious but on the other hand those that are fit do so as well. I A M NOT A DOCTOR OR NUTRITIONIST so I have no idea what the median line is or the best answer I go with what feels good. If I feel comfortable in my own skin and about how my clothes fit I figure I'm doing ok. I know my weight according to the chart is 182 pounds max I weighed that in high school. I would look very unhealthy at that weight because back then I had people asking if I had been sick or something and that I needed to gain weight. So I'm not convinced the BMI is a standard to live by.
